A local resident reached out asking for the club to come remove a swarm of bees from an electrical box in her neighbor's yard. The neighbor was highly allergic to bees and needed them out and pronto! On April 2nd, Elizabeth Griss and new bee enthusiast Ms. Nikki Olton ventured out to help. The hive was bustling with larvae, multiple frames of capped brood and some early sign of pollen. After removing all of the comb, placing them in the nuc, and giving the top box a good shake, the rest of the bees from the box followed the pheromones' and made their way into their new home! The feral hive is now safe in our KHS apiary.
